What NON-photography related books do you find helpful and/or inspirational?
I'm always interested in what other creatives read in their spare time or as research. This is especially true when it comes to non-photography related materials.
As photographers, artists, creatives, I believe that it's imperative that we draw inspiration from outside sources or we risk a downward spiral of creative echo from our peers.
I read a ton of books on all topics. I suppose this is because I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and am ever curious about the world around me.
Some of my all time favorites include:
The Long Tail by Chris Anderson
Small Is The New Big by Seth Godin
Tribes by Seth Godin
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
Currently I'm reading:
The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
Leading At The Speed of Growth by Katherine Cattlin & Jana Matthews
Raising Eyebrows by Dal LaMagna (this one is hard to put down BTW)
Yes...I actively read 3 books at once. I tend to rotate through the books I'm currently reading based on mood and time.
So what non-photography books do you read that keep you inspired or help your photography in any way?
Fujifilm's X-Pro1, now M Mount friendly

Comments
Read business books mostly for non-photography inspiration.
Currently Reading:
Measure of a Man - Gene Getz
Poke the Box - Seth Godin
Next:
Evil Plans - Hugh MacLeod
Ignore Everybody: - Hugh MacLeod
Just Finished:
Samuel Adams: A Life - Ira Stoll
The Modern English Version of Pilgrims Progress
Ignore Everybody is really good. I have Evil Plans in my wish list near the top.
It's kinda crazy how many books I have wish listed.
A friend just suggested The War of Art, which I intend to read.
Currently, I'm reading through Unmarketing.
Ooh, how is Unmarketing? I've got it in my wishlist.
So far, pretty great. The author is very conversational, and he is hilarious.
One of my favorite lines is that going to a seminar on better cold calling is like going to a seminar on how to better be punched in the face.
