I have been having some troubles with the interface on my printer driver for my old epson (2200), trying to print from CS5. I have heard from more than one source that I ought to try quimage. What exactly does that program do?

I know I could look on web, and I will, but I am interested in people's user experiences. Does it offer image-processing tools as well as printing management? Can it in any way serve to replace elements or lightroom or photoshop, or would it be best to use it for print control after using other programs for processing/ehancements?
