I'm always interested in what other creatives read in their spare time or as research. This is especially true when it comes to non-photography related materials.
As photographers, artists, creatives, I believe that it's imperative that we draw inspiration from outside sources or we risk a downward spiral of creative echo from our peers.
I read a ton of books on all topics. I suppose this is because I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and am ever curious about the world around me.
Some of my all time favorites include:
The Long Tail by Chris Anderson
Small Is The New Big by Seth Godin
Tribes by Seth Godin
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
Currently I'm reading:
The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
Leading At The Speed of Growth by Katherine Cattlin & Jana Matthews
Raising Eyebrows by Dal LaMagna (this one is hard to put down BTW)
Yes...I actively read 3 books at once. I tend to rotate through the books I'm currently reading based on mood and time.
So what non-photography books do you read that keep you inspired or help your photography in any way?
