About Me
Jose Antunes is a writer and photographer that for more than three decades has covered different subjects, from aviation to zen photography, from technology to nature gazing, for dozens of newspapers and magazines both in his country, Portugal, and abroad.
He also worked with agencies, back in the eighties, as FPG - Freelance Photographers Guild, and still has work at Alamy, but has given up agencies after the microstock boom.
He was one of the founders of the most important videogames and photography magazines in Portugal - MegaScore and Fotodigital - and for six years executive editor of an aviation magazine, Sirius. He has written books about Photography and Virtual worlds and is a prolific writer of photography eBooks now.
He is actually a columnist for Manfrotto School of Xcellence, Photo Tuts and Pixiq, besides being editor of his own webzine on photography, Fotodigital (in Portuguese). He is available to write - and photograph - for more people. Contact him!
He also leads phototours in Portugal, being especially interested into showing the country and its not beaten paths to photographers travelling to this part of the world. Contact him!
