About Me
Alex Koloskov was born and raised in Ukraine, and moved to US in 2001. In 2006, Alex co-founded (with his wife Genia) AKElstudio, Inc, a commercial product photography studio.
His approach is a blend of technicality, innovation and out of the box thinking. He is completely self taught. He does not know the rules nor care about them. He does not follow the herd, doing everything his own way. That turned out to be invaluable in what he does. It allowed him to experiment, to see outside the borders, challenge the authorities and create a stunning photography style that is crisp, sharp and crystal clear.
He is inspired by progress and movement. He is incredibly persistent and never takes "less than perfect" for an answer. If Alex does not have the right tools, he'll build them himself. He likes to make stuff happen.
His blog, Atlanta Photographer Blog (www.akelstudio.com/com/blog) is the place where Alex shares technical details of his photography, his experience, challenges he deals with and how he solves them.
